The web security industry is introducing an important change affecting every owner of a website protected by a public SSL/TLS certificate. From 24 February 2026, all new public TLS certificates may be valid for at most 199 days. This is only the first phase of a multi-year transition that will, by 2029, reduce certificate validity to just 46 days. More on our blog.
